Friday Fashion: Potato's Makeup Routine Tutorial

Seeking to get rid of dark circles and create an even skin tone?
Follow this simple and easy make up routine!

These are my tools of the trade:
(Starting from left to right, top to bottom)
E.L.F. All Over Cover Stick Apricot Beige
Foundation Sponge
E.L.F. Eye Widerer Pearl White
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner Black
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color Think Pink 901B
Baby Lips Electro Strike a Rose
Too Cool for School Max in Pocket Kiss Kiss
Too Cool for School Pudding Aqua Shaking BB
Faceshop Phytogenic Infinite Powder Foundation NB25
Eyelash Curler
So this is my grungy ole' self.
I advise before putting any makeup, wash your face, moisturize, and put in any contacts (if necessary/desired). I like to use Aveeno's Positively Radiant wash and moisturizer because it helps (slightly) even my skin tone.
[I apologize in advance for the changing lighting in the photos; the light bulbs in my bathroom take awhile to brighten...]
First spread a light layer of primer across your whole face.
Apply dots of foundation or BB creme evenly.
Smooth with your finger, then blend with a sponge. Lightly pat/tap the foundation in with your finger.

Apply a concealer onto dark areas and trouble spots.
Blend the edges with a foundation brush then gently smooth the rest with your finger. Again, gently pat/tap the concealer into your skin.
I like to treat my dark circles and discoloration around my mouth and chin.

With a powder brush, tap the bristles onto a pressed powder. Tapping the brush onto the compact, rather then brushing, distributes the foundation evenly onto the bristles. Gently brush and pat the brush along the cheeks, nose, forehead, and jaw.
With the sponge, gently pat and press the powder onto the area around the eyes and any more uneven areas.

Use a blush stick, blush powder, or, if you are like me, lipstick around the cheek bone.
Gently blend with your finger.

Use a thin black liner to draw out a wing on each eyelid.
Fill in after outlining. If using liquid eyeliner with monolids, let the eyeliner set before blinking too much or touching the lid area. this will prevent unwanted eyeliner from getting stuck to the area above your lid or  where you intended to apply eyeliner.
I don't really spend too much time on my eyeliner nor am I REALLY good at it to be honest, so I recommend looking at Princess's tutorial for a better guide to winged liner HERE.

I like to apply a thin line of eyeliner along my waterline till the center of my eye.
This is when the control of the pen liner is real handy.
With a white eyeliner pencil, fill in the waterline, highlighting the inner corner of the eye.

 Curl lashes and apply mascara.

Lastly moisturize lips and apply lipstick and/or gloss.
For daily use I like to use tinted lip balm since I have dry lips.

If I plan to go out for long periods of time I like to set my makeup with Urban Decay's De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray

And there you have it!
Style your hair, throw on some cute clothes, and you're ready to go.
