Monday Meals: Ajisen Ramen

Okay so ramen connoisseurs may judge but yes, we decided to go to a ramen fast food chain this time!
An international franchise, Ajisen is found all over the world so obviously we had to give it a try.

Potato ordered the Spicy Beef Ramen—the first picture of this post. While not the best ramen we've had, it definitely satisfied our craving for noodles!
The above picture however, was my order: Tan Tan Ramen. For those who don't know, Tan Tan (or dan dan in Chinese) noodles are a Sichuan Chinese dish consisting of chili oil, Sichuan pepper, preserved vegetables, minced pork, other veggies, and noodles of course. So Tan Tan ramen is a variation on this Chinese dish and it apparently includes sesame paste!

And did we forget to mention the appetizer that we ordered? Fried mochi. Who can really resist? Doughy and well…mochi-tasting…it was a bit of a letdown.

The Ajisen we visited was located in a mall! It was quite big though. But if you're looking for a more atmospheric Ajisen, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Review
Food:  Ramen was okay though the diversity of menu options was awesome.
Atmosphere:  It's located in a food court.
Service:  Busy and not much service to begin with. Then again, it's fast food...
Price: $ Fast food. Duh.
