The Lunar New Year holds a special place in our hearts and in the hearts of many an Asian American or Asian-Asian for that matter. With that said, we wish you the greatest happiness as well as good fortune, good health, and prosperity this new year.

Monday Meals: Ippuku

Yes, this is exactly what you think it is. Bacon mochi—aka the most delicious thing to ever be in my mouth. Ha.
If you're interested in trying out some fancy Japanese cuisine without having to go out for sushi for the 50th time (no complaints here), you might want to go to an izakaya like Ippuku instead. They serve an array of different alcoholic beverages with various side dishes like the traditional yakitori (a grilled chicken kebab) and kara-age (fried chicken). With that said, there should be warnings about the near pornographic food pictures ahead.

Happy New Year!

"She quietly expected great things to happen to her, and no doubt that's one of the reasons why they did."
- Zelda Fitzgerald

Thank you to all of our followers for their continued support through the past year. We created this blog because we're great supporters of the kawaii-sugoi life that we feel EVERYBODY should be able to experience. It's a way of life more than anything else. If we've helped to make any one of you at any one moment of any one day feel a little happier, a little more kawaii, a little more confident and creative, then this has been a worthwhile journey for us all. Keep an eye out for us in the coming year—one that promises tons more surprises and adventures!

Oh and here's a quick recap of the special New Year's posts:

Cheers,
