Halloween Special: Retro Witch Makeup

Double, double boil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Wanna cast some spells this Halloween? Here's a retro look for the witch in you.
But beware!
This look may just leave mere mortals spellbound.

As with all looks, start off with a clean base and then a pale foundation formula. I like CC Cream because it's not too costume-y looking and it moisturizes your skin—perfect for dry autumn weather! (Optional: use a primer and setting powder.)
Products: SCINIC Complete CC Cream
Now we're gonna start the gradiated cat eye. Begin with a eyeshadow primer. Then, line the space just above your lashes and forming a long wing past the corner of your eye. If you need help, check out my tutorial for an everyday cat eye look here!

Here, we can decide how dramatic we want our cat eye to look. For monolids or 1.5-lids, I suggest drawing a line above the first line so that you can fill in the space in between. This will also help widen and brighten your eyes!
To create a gradient, begin by filling in the wing of your eyeliner. End it around the middle of your eye, being sure to end the black at an angle so that there is a softer transition for the next step.
Now, taking a silver eyeshadow, fill in the rest of the eye as shown. Use a brush to blend out the edges to make your gradient look soft and natural.
Product: Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow—Charcoal Smokes (the silver eyeshadow)
To complete your look, coat your lips in a wine red lipstick.
Product: NARS Audacious Lipstick—Bette
And there you have it! A very simple, retro look add some sophistication to that witch costume of yours this Halloween.

Stay tuned for some more looks headed your way!
