Halloween Special: MARUQ's Harajuku Halloween Bazaar

Spoopy x Creppy x Kawaii.
Here's our review of MARUQ's Harajuku Halloween Bazaar and the outfits we wore for it.

The bazaar featured several different independent designers both from the US and Japan.

If you're into Retro Americana, Ayumi Seto's "Aymmy in the batty girls" line features a lot of varsity jackets, school girl skirts, and prints scattered with old school images of burgers and pop. And for those who don't know, Ayumi is a famous Harajuku model who decided to create this line based on her own personal style. Learn more about her here. We're big fans of hers here at PriPoPu.
Independent artists and designers have been all the rage the past few years. A Thousand Skies makes cute plushies like these of puppies and owls! The next time you're looking for gift ideas, give her a try here.
Milkbbi, another favorite designer of ours was also featured at the bazaar! Unlike the other designers like OMOCAT whose items were also for sale, Milkbbi's designs are more Korean fashion-inspired. The most striking feature though are his cute and simply drawn characters and pink/blue/white color palette.
We also did a review of his sweatshirts last year (check it out: here) and are continuing to support his new designs—Potato and Pudding both bought the white sweatshirt shown above.

Coming from the most hardcore fan of Rilakkuma (myself), MARUQ is also a great stop for Rilakkuma merchandise which is becoming increasingly hard to buy abroad.
And but of course, there are also things for man's best friend. cute little collars just make your day, don't they?

We had a great time at this pop up shop for a bunch of indie artists and designers. Though the bazaar was fairly small, the items being sold were high quality and in-trend. Everything was cutely put together and displayed—we had a hard time not buying everything!

Looking forward to more events like this from MARUQ.
