Valentine Special: Cute Sweetheart Makeup Tutorial

Striving for that "cutie-pie" look this Valentine's day?
Follow this cute and sweet makeup tutorial!

I'll show you how to go from drab to dainty with some basic makeup.
First wash and moisturize your face. Next apply a light layer of foundation primer.
Bonus: If you have circle lenses I recommend wearing them for this kind of look.

Apply dots of BB creme or foundation around your face. Lightly spread the foundation with your finger. Blend and lightly press/tap the foundation with a sponge.

Apply a concealer onto dark areas and trouble spots.
Blend the edges with a foundation brush then gently smooth the rest with your finger. Again, gently pat/tap the concealer into your skin.

With a powder brush, tap the bristles onto a pressed powder. Tapping the brush onto the compact, rather then brushing, distributes the foundation evenly onto the bristles. Gently powder and pat the brush along the cheeks, nose, forehead, and jaw.
With the sponge, gently pat and press the powder onto the area around the eyes and any other uneven areas.

If you have dark brows like I do, use an eye brow pencil or eye shadow and brush to soften your brows with a brown tone.

With liquid black (or brown) liner, line the end and bottom of your eye out and down to create a sweet, doe, and somewhat sad look. Line the inner part of your eye with a brownish rose color eye liner. Lastly, line your waterline with a white eye liner.

To create an even wider eyed look apply false lashes. Angle the lashes upward to emphasize the sweet heart look. Apply mascara.

Apply a generous layer of blush along the cheeks and lightly across the nose.
Feel free to be more conservative here. But if you're going for the ultra ~*~kawaii~*~ thing here, by all means go full throttle.

For the lips first powder them with foundation. Then apply a sheer light lip gloss (bottom left image). Spread a red lip tint from the center of your lips out, gradating the tone from the center outwards. Lastly apply a red lip stick on the center of your lips, highlighting your cupid's bow.

Last Minute Tips:
A little heart under the eye never hurt anyone.
Seal your look with a kiss with some loose powder or makeup spray (I LOVE Urban Decay's De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray).
Do something cute with your hair (Princess made an adorable braid side ponytail for me)
And you're all set for whatever Valentine's day plans you've made (hot date, coffee with friends, movie date at home with Tom Hiddleston, etc)
