One of the many restaurants named after the planets of our solar system in Berkeley.
Venus is a favorite spot for locals and great if you're looking for a special casual weekend brunch place.
Well-lit a warm—a hipster paradise.
Potato ordered the orange juice while I had to try the Cloud Nine. And that's just what it was—a combination of espresso, liquer, whipped cream, and shaved chocolate~
Here are the home fries that Potato ordered. (Ha.) Pretty good though in need a bit of salt!
And I ordered the "2x2x2" which consisted of 2 slices of French toast, 2 sausage patties, and 2 eggs! You can of course substitute the French toast for pancakes or the sausage for bacon but I was really craving the French toast. Yummy~
Venus is very much like La Note, only a block or so away! They are pretty similar with La Note being simply the French version of Venus. Both are great brunch places to bring your pa and ma to when they're in town (here's lookin' at you fellow Cal students!).

Review
Food: Great breakfast food but nothing particularly unique.
Atmosphere: Warm and sunlit but a bit cramped.
Service: Fast and super hospitable—we saw a server tell a table that he had dropped their food by accident and had asked the chef to make another serving of the breakfast fresh for them!
Price: $$ Not cheap but no breakfast place really is in Berkeley!
