Tuesday Tasties: Candy Cane White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yeah, we don't really like gingerbread either.
Peppermint and white chocolate are the perfect combo for those in the family who are looking for something a little more vanilla.

Ingredients
- 1 stick (aka ½ cup) of butter
½ cup of brown sugar, packed
½ cup cup of white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp of peppermint extract
- 1½ cup of all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 tsp of baking soda
½ tsp of salt
½ cup of white chocolate chips
½ cup of peppermint candy canes, crushed
Yield
About 2 dozen cookies
Steps
 1. Cream the butter and two types of sugar together. You can choose to do this with a fork (check it out here the first three steps) or with a mixer if you have one.
2. Then in a separate bowl, mix the eggs and extracts together and add to your butter-sugar mixture.
3. Now, add your flour, baking soda, and salt!
4. And you will have something that looks like this. Remember not to overmix or you'll end up with a tough cookie!
 5. Now's the fun part: add your candy canes and white chocolate!
6. Stir well until combined and pop your batter into the fridge for about half an hour. You can preheat your oven to 350° F in the meantime and then bake them after the hour's up! Bake tablespoon sized cookies for about 8-10 minutes or when the edges are golden brown.
There you go! Delicious and festive cookies perfect for the holiday season~

Enjoy!
